Sometimes I feel that where I live isn’t big enough to hold my husband, myself, and all our “stuff”. I get caught up in the idea that I need more space and more things and that somehow that will make me appreciate life more. When I read stories about people like Debra and Gary, who rid themselves of almost everything they had so they could move into a 320 sq. ft. home in order to focus on the most important things in life, I remember that living in a nice spacious apartment is a luxury, not a need and that all that “stuff” that I have isn’t necessary. The important things in life are what I would keep and appreciate if I had to strip myself of all the non-essentials. What would I hang onto? What would I love? How would I spend my time?
This sweet story of a small family in Wisconsin, made me grateful for the comfortable space in which I live and the people and experiences that are truly most important.
